  1. For newbies like me, NCOER stands for Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Efficiency Report (annual performance on the job). The supervisor (i.e., company commander, squad leader, platoon commander) is the person who completes such reports regarding NCOs. An ANCOC is an advanced noncommissioned officer course. Military Occupational Specialty Qualification = Military Occupational Specialty Qualification.

I am sure these NCOER Bullets will help Platoon Sergeants with determining what to include in their annual reviews so they can obtain a promotion. It would be interesting to see a list generated by Commissioned Officers to see what they see as the most important NCOER Bullets at least with regards to determining who is promoted.

    1. Thanks, Neil.

These NCOER Bullets are just a starting point to get NCOs thinking. At the end of the day, the Platoon Sergeant needs to sit down and put some thought into his own NCOER Bullets. Some other great tips are to talk with the Platoon Leader, to get ideas from your peers and to do some research online to get some additional sample Platoon Sergeant Bullets.
