National Guard AARTS Transcript

The AARTS Transcript is a computerized transcript system that produces official transcripts for eligible Soldiers upon request by combining a Soldier’s military education and experience with descriptions and college credit recommendations developed by the American Council on Education.  It works very similar to how a university transcript works, depicting your university education… However, a military AARTS transcript contains special information such as:

  • Current or highest rank
  • Military Status (Active, NG, AR)
  • Additional Skill Identifiers (ASI) and Skill Qualification Identifiers (SQI)
  • Formal Military Courses
  • MOS(s) held
  • Standardized test score descriptions and credit recommendations developed by ACE

Obtaining a military AARTS transcript is extremely beneficial when applying to college, applying for a job or any other instance you could think of where you would like to showcase your military experience and translate that into something a university or employer could understand and quantify with respect to admission or employment.  Much like an employer likes to see a college transcript listing what courses you have taken related to the position you are applying for, a military AARTS transcript does the same thing!

Just like you must request a formal transcript from a registrar’s office, the Army also has its own process for obtaining an AARTS transcript.  The process is pretty simple…just click the link below, register and you are on your way!

I also suggest you keep a copy in your “I Love Me Book.”  Additionally, you might want to get an updated copy every 12 to 18 months.
