Check out our review of is an awesome website for current, future and former Army leaders, both Officers and NCOs.  According to their website, “AskTOP is a blog that connects you to a network of active and retired military leaders who answer your Army leadership questions.”  Whenever you have a leadership question, or need advice about something, you can visit and get an answer from a qualified person for FREE.  Their website has a nice selection of retirees, subject matter experts and senior leaders to help you out.  That makes their website an incredible resource for any Army leader.

When you visit their website, you have a few options.  The site has hundreds of published articles by different authors.  These articles cover a wide variety of subjects (see below).  You can even leave comments below the articles to share your opinion with others.  In addition, also has hundreds of questions and answers you can view.

Some of the subjects on their website include:

  • Awards
  • Counseling
  • Corrective Training
  • Evaluations
  • Flags
  • Inspections
  • Leadership
  • Military Women
  • Promotions
  • Training
  • Separations
  • UCMJ

If you’ve never visited this website, you should.  It would benefit retirees, candidates looking to join the Army, current Soldiers and former Soldiers.  In fact, this website is one of my favorite Army websites online.  I’m hoping to become a contributor to their website in the near future.

The domain was registered on March 15th, 2010.  As of January 5th, 2013 the Google Page Rank was 2 and the Alexa Page Rank was 5,768,366.  Visit the website.

What do you think about the website? Do you have any comments or suggestions for Mark? Just post them below. Thanks.

  1. I just visited this website: and I must say, it is great! For those who have questions about any military related item, you can probably get it answered at this awesome website. If not, I am sure they will guide you to where you can get an answer. The website has a plethora of highly qualified experts that have tons of military experience.

I would highly recommend this website, that is, if Chuck cannot answer your question.

  2. I really enjoy this website from time to time. Top has some good insight and good resources that help me bridge the NCO to Officer gap. I reference it often!

  3. It’s amazing how far we’ve come when you can just go online and be connected with thousands of people for a common goal. The goal of a site like this is to connect military leadership and upcoming leaders so that information about how to most effectively train soldiers is easier to access and find. I think your review touches on the many good things that can come of a site like this.

Now that I’m out of the Army and a Computer Science major in school, I’m always interested to see how we can use computers to change the way we do basically everything. A site like this is something that is invaluable to many service members. Information is key.
